The spring season is the competitive season for lacrosse. Played from late March to early June, the boys and girls play separately as the games are very different. Boys play in a contact (not collision) environment where the girls is a non-contact game. All players are welcome, whether you participated in the winter workshop, or if you've never held a lacrosse stick!
Team breakdowns:
Boys: Grades (K - 1 - 2), (3 - 4), (5 - 6), (7 - 9)
Girls: Grades (K - 1 - 2), (3 - 4), (5 - 6), (7 - 8)
Each team (especially the older kids) need a minimum of 15 players to kick off - help spread the word!!!

Lacrosse is for EVERYONE! If you are in need of financial assistance to allow your child to play, Wallenpaupack Youth Lacrosse offers "scholarship" to players and can loan out equipment. As a non-profit 501(c)3 organization we aim to make this sport as equitable as possible to get kids outside and playing this great sport. Equipment is on a limited, first-come-first-served basis. If you need financial assistance, please reach out to Rory directly.
New for this year, we're implementing a new game-day pinnie that is yours to keep and wear as long as it fits. Choose your NUMBER and keep it. The pinnie will be a high quality, interlock, sublimated reversible pinnie built to last. Our new partnership with Signature Lacrosse has been very positive.
Once you register, you'll be emailed a CODE and a link to enter the locker
Select your number and size (numbers are on a first-come-first-serve basis)
You will order the game day pinnie (it will read $0 cost with the code)
You will have the opportunity to add on game day shorts as well as a warmup shirt, or any other spirit wear you'd like
Many families have been asking to keep their jerseys, and the chaos of jersey loaner distribution and retrieval have been cumbersome for our organization.
This $35 fee is the result of a negotiated rate through Signature Lacrosse, and sponsorship subsidization from the league, so we are able to provide these awesome threads at such a low cost for the 2026 season.
This video shows some more advanced college play.
Great basics video of handling the ball from one of the best, Cathy Reese!
A great overview of girls youth lacrosse game play.
Not having any experience with this sport, you may be overwhelmed with the equipment (especially on the boys side). It’s an investment and some of it is designed to grow with your child for a few years. Please do not hesitate to email with any questions you have about equipment: info@wallenpaupacklacrosse.com.
New youth sticks start at around $45/55.
Boys starter kids (STX Stallion) start around $250/275 for all necessary gear.
Some good online retail resources are:
New: SportsStop.com, LacrosseUnlimited.com, LacrosseMonkey.com
Used: Ebay, SidelineSwap.com, Playitagainsports.com
Please note that all protective gear should meet current NOCSAE safety standards.
One HUGE beneficial piece of equipment I fully recommend is a Cradle Baby Lacrosse Ball. This tool helps so much in learning how to cradle the ball, a fundamental that dramatically improves enjoyment of the game once mastered.
